It's perhaps a little know fact about life in a villa in the Middle East that in the extreme heat of the summer we turn our hot water heater off as the heat of the sun does the job for us! Our 'cold' water is heated in its tank located on the roof and so our cold tap gives us warm water for our showers!

Peu de personnes savent que dans nos maisons au Moyen Orient, pendant la chaleur extrême de l'été, on éteint nos chaudières car le soleil chauffe l'eau. L'eau 'froide' dans nos reservoirs aux toits est chauffée par le soleil, donc nos robinets de l'eau froide nous donnent de l'eau chaude!
