My dog, my blonde bombshell, has fallen in love with George. Aaaah, I hear you sigh. And where did Kimmie meet her handsome beau? At Dubai Kennels and Cattery.
Ma chienne, ma blonde amie, est tombée amoureuse avec George. Aaaah, vous soupirez. Et où a-t-elle rencontré son copain? Aux chenil: Dubai Kennels and Cattery.
At various moments of the year we feel that Kimmie needs a holiday, a change of scenery and playmates to enjoy her days with. So outside our home the Dubai Kennels and Cattery van arrives and out pops her human buddy for her stay. Happily, Kimmie boards her carriage which takes her off to her accomodation at the kennels.
À divers moments de l'année on trouve que Kimmie a besoin de vacances, un changement de paysage et des camarades pour jouer. Donc, devant chez nous, la camionnette des chenil arrive et son copain humain est prêt pour l'emmener. Volontairement Kimmie monte dans son carrosse qui l'emmène à son logement.
Checking in at reception there are four or five dogs to be found lounging on the knees of staff, on floor cushions or even on the chairs allocated for reception staff! Sometimes there is even a parrot on one of the staff member's shoulders! Anyway, Kimmie is a bit big to sit on anyone's knee so she trundles off to her room. Then the fun starts! Everyone at DKC is so smiley, so chilled yet so organised. Kimmie can't help but have a great time.
En arrivant à la réception de DKC il y a quatre ou cinq chiens qui paressent aux genoux du personnels, sur les saccos et même sur les chaises de bureau! Parfois il y a même un perroquet a l'épaule de quelqu'un! De tout façon Kimmie est un peu grande pour s'installer aux genoux donc elle passe bruyamment à sa chambre! Puis, elle commence à s'amuser! Tout le monde à DKC est tellement souriant, super cool mais à la fois bien organisé. Kimmie se régale!
At the various kennels I have used in Europe I have always felt strong emotions of guilt at leaving her there. Will she be given time and space to run and play? Will she be hugged and stroked? Not once have a I suffered anguish at leaving Kimmie at DKC.
En laissant Kimmie aux chenils en Europe je me suis toujours sentie très coupable d'avoir abandonné ma chienne. Est-ce qu'on va lui donner assez d'espace pour courir, pour jouer? Est-ce qu'elle va recevoir des câlins, des caresses? Je n'ai jamais senti ces émotions, cette angoisse en laissant Kimmie chez DKC.
At the end of Kimmie's holiday at Dubai Kennels and Cattery I am told if she has eaten well, if there is a change in her weight since her arrival and how she has enjoyed playing and with whom! And of course, this was how I came to hear of her romance with George!
À la fin des vacances pour Kimmie j'apprends qu'elle a bien mangé, je suis dis si son poids a changé depuis son arrivé et comment elle s'est régalée - et avec qui. C'était comme ça que j'ai découvert de son amour!
Was I approached by DKC to write this blog? NO! I am writing it because once in a while I come across someone who deserves a pat on the back. This, is my pat on the back to DKC, for a job well done: every day.
